Making the creamy chicken wonton filling
Heat 2 tablespoons of canola oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the 1 teaspoon of ginger garlic paste and sauté for a minute.
Add the finely chopped chicken to the pan and cook until it is no longer pink.
In a mixing bowl, combine the cooked chicken, thick cream, salt, black pepper, chicken powder, and white pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are combined.
Assemble the Wontons
To assemble the wontons, take a small/medium roll sheet and place about 1 teaspoon of the filling mixture in the center.
Moisten the edges of the wrapper with slurry and fold it in half to create a triangle. Press the edges together to seal. Then press the triangle from the middle to create a wonton shape.
Repeat until all the filling mixture is used up.
Frying the wontons
Heat oil in a deep fryer or a heavy-bottomed pan over medium-high heat.
Once the oil is hot, carefully add the wontons to the oil, a few at a time. Fry until they are golden brown and crispy, about 2-3 minutes.
Remove the wontons from the oil with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels. Your easy creamy chicken wontons are ready.
Serve immediately: Creamy chicken wontons are best served hot and crispy, so be sure to serve them immediately after frying with your favorite dipping sauce.
