Strawberry Boat Salad

Crisp greens and fresh strawberries with tangy pomegranate arils scattered on top, make this strawberry boat salad taste as pleasant as it looks. It’s so refreshing in the summers and is great even without a salad dressing!
I call it Strawberry Boat Salad for no other reason than that I often serve it in this boat-shaped dish. Not very creative with my name keeping eh?
No one likes a bland and boring salad. Salads that are flavorful keep you motivated to continue having them.
Throwing in some fresh fruits or drizzling on a tasty salad dressing are easy ways to make your salads more appetizing. Needless to say, I’m always on the lookout for good salad recipes and salad ideas!

For people trying to consume less calories or lose weight, fruits are a better option, compared to salad dressings.
This is because dressings tend to be very dense in calories, owing to oil being the primary ingredient in them (even if it may be a healthy oil e.g. olive oil).
In this salad, strawberries, pomegranate arils and green apples add a subtle sweetness and mild tangy-ness.
Three other ingredients and you have all the salad ingredients needed. Just make sure you use fresh vegetables, and you’re going to love it!
